Hi guys, just after a bit of advice really- I have a 1200 litre tank with a pretty high waste output due to my FRT and other oddballs. I currently run an FX-5 which I am less than impressed with and want to get rid. I have been looking into fluidized beds as a replacement.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Am I right in thinking that as long as I have a mechanical filter in front of this then a large fluidised bed should be sufficient?

Cheers

You would be correct. When I worked at a lfs we had a fbf on our saltwater system of about 1200 US gallons and it worked great.
