Floating Plants

I have a 55g brackish set up and recently one of my new clumps of hornwort got knocked out of the substrate. The fish seem to enjoy it and I was wondering, can I leave it there or does it have to be planted? If not what would be a good floating plant for a brackish tank (sg 1.005)?

Hornwort is actually a floating plant. It has no roots (and won't grow any if planted in the substrate) and will actually only last a couple of months tops if planted in the substrate.
