Hey y'all!

I have never had plants before so this is brand new to me. I purchased a couple bunches of Anacharis and I didn't want them just floating around so I attached a few sprigs to the wall with suction cups. Is this going to be okay?

Any suggestions/feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you 😊

Yep, should be fine, anacharis isn't fussy! Can be just left to float, planted in the substrate, or I guess suction cupped to the side! lol. It's new to me, but shouldn't bother the plant. Anacharis takes its nutrients from the water column through the leaves, so it isn't fussy about being planted or not.

Thanks for your response! I know it probably looks kinda tacky just stuck to the glass like that!! 😆 For one, I have zero aquascape skills, (or any type of interior design skills for that matter) and secondly, I purchased them to help out with the water quality. Honestly, I'm stressed out enough just trying to keep my fish alive so my brain doesn't have enough room right now to try and keep anything else alive!:blink: I think once I gain more confidence I'll try and venture out further. LOLOL

Not tacky at all, I intend to use the same style suction cups to attach some riparian plant roots to the side of the tank, and you're pretty "on trend" for aquascaping too! ;) These types of underwater "planter" cups have become pretty popular

But either way, it's your tank! Do what you like with it, and don't worry about what others think when it comes to the look! As long as the fishe's welfare is covered, then don't worry about it. :)
If the anacharis starts to struggle, then a simple liquid fertiliser should be enough to perk it up, but honestly, it's usually super easy to grow and doesn't usually require any extra help. Enjoy the tank!

Thank you so much for the encouragement!! I love those cup things. Definitely gonna check into those!
