Other than what @Byron has already mentioned, another very nice floating plant is (Phyllanthus Fluitans Red Root Floater) I bought these for my new 90g set up and after a week they are already growing nicely.

these ones got buried by duckweed and they all died sadly

That’s very red! Co2 in that tank or very high lighting?

No C02 at all. The leaves and roots will turn blood red under high lighting. Under low lighting, they will stay a lite reddish to pink. The leaves are green and pink with a tinge of red under my current light intensity.
Its actually a floating fern from South America.
