Floating Plant Id And Info

Has this for a couple months now anyone know what it is?




Here it is covered top to bottom in duck weed.

Looks like watersprite to me It can be floated or planted.

Does it grow faster when planted?

It grows fast no matter what I think I prefer the way it looks planted though.

Definitely water sprite. Grows like a weed, and often classified as one, make sure it stays in your tank and waste water doesn't get to a watercourse if you're in part of the US with the weather for it (I believe California may be the issue), it'll grow from almost nothing sometimes. It does indeed grow better rooted, and will show emersed growth if it reaches the surface. Shrimp seem to love it, but it can get scraggy if it gets too dense.

Ok thanks in my ten gallon its growth has been really slow abd its been floating maybe in my big tank it will make it grow faster.
