all my fish in one particular tank keep flicking themselves of objects..but i cant see no sign of ich...wot could it be or should i just treat them for it? -_-

No as some other parasites can cause this, do the gill look red and inflamed, and are they heavy breathing, also are they covered in a gold dusting.

i had a suspicion one had velvet..but i wasnt sure..and i cant tell on the others cos they are goldy colord!!! but no red gills and no heavy breathing..

Sorry had to copy and paste it's above.

i take it it applies to ther fish rather than betta...mine doesnt really look like that thou...one black...and he looks sorta shinyish on his scales...sorta greyish...silvery/tad goldish (lol)

Like a slimey grey patch, is water quality good, as slime shiny patches can be parasite or bacterial

yea its fine....thats wot i dont understand......how? and he recently moved homes with these new fish and in the past few days they started flicking..

You could treat with Coppersafe......

Some don't like it at all, but I have had good luck with it, just don't use it full strength on scaleless fish like loaches, ect. And if you have plants they could get stunted as well.

I use it quite often and it seems to be very gentle on fish that tend to be very sensitive...

:)

riiite im confused now what shall i treat it for then...whats it most likely to be...

If you have no scaless fish try salt and turn the temp up gradually to 30.

hmmm i have a garra pingi pingi whose sub-tropical thou....his max temp is 25 c

If you thinks it's whitespot treat with a med,
