API stress coat contains aloe vera to help replace slime coats etc etc, it could be that this bit of help actually irritates the already healthy fish so they flick to rid themselves of the aloe vera coat?

Just to clarify the information in my post, the product I used was the regular Tap Water Conditioner, not the Stress Coat. The picture shows both the old and new bottles.
The fish that were effected were all corydoras.
I think we are talking about different salt. I use Great Value salt that I get from Wal Mart. The salt does not contain Iodide and from what I have been told by many people is that most fish can use this type of salt. I had Corys and I used this same type of salt and they lived for 4 years. I have only had one Pleco and I had to get rid of him because he was eating fish. You need to keep an eye on him. Like my Angel fish would go to the bottom to sleep and he would leach onto them. The reason I was telling you how to treat ick is because I overlooked the number of posts you have. But can I ask how often do you do water changes? Do they do this with a complete strip down or is it just a normal %25-30% change. If they are doing that with a normal cleanup then it could be the temp of the water you are using. I have a hose pipe that runs from my shower and I try to keep it the same temp as the water in the tank. I cant really think of anything else that it may be. I had a fish that got dropsy and he hit on the ornaments. Does your fish's eys look alittle bigger than normal. Oh well, I hope your fish get well and sorry that I acted like you where a noob on my last post. I didnt relize you have been posting for a while.
