Hello does any 1 no how to get rid of fleas i have tryed the shampoos the vets said they dont work so i got some drops off them and the cats coats seam to be clean i check a few times a day, I just see the odd one on the floor now and again i have used room spray's and i hover up like 2 times a day.

Any advise on what to do i mean i have only seen like 3 on the floor over that last week, Cats are indoor cats.

Thnaks.

Frontline is the best anti-flea application you can get IMHO.
you have to get it from a vets and I'm not sure it is available outside the UK.

is that for the cats or the carpet?. I have drops from the vets that seem to have worked.

frontline do drops for the cat and a spray for soft furnishings,
it is not cheap but well worth the cash.

thanks ill go get some, Does it get rid ov them, Also do u no anythink else i can do to get them from my home apart from hoover like a mad woman twice a day?.

if you follow the instruction with frontline to the letter
you should not have this problem again.
just ensure tha you do the repete applications so you get the fleas in all their stages of development.

As The-Wolf says, Frontline is an excellent product (cats or dogs, kittens or puppies) and can only be bought from the vet in the UK. If you have an existing problems with fleas, you also need the house spray that goes with it.

Products for a supermarket or store, are often inferior and not nearly as effective (safely).

Edit: to hoover is not going to help an ounce. They jump out of the way long before you even get close to them.

when the fleas that are on your carpet/furnishings jump onto your treated cats they will die off and break the cycle, so eventually ridding your home of these pests, you just have to be patcient. Good luck

Thanks for your help i will try out that room spray u was saying about, I have used a room spray b4 but as u have already mentioned stuff from supermarket dont really work, Would u say dont hoover as much then?.

hi i dont think it breaks the cycle, fleas are horrid to get rid off they get every where under skirting boards even if they have no warmth they like hybernate and when the weather gets warmer they re hatch and jump back on yr furry friends (some thing like that any way) im a dog groomer i suggest shampoo frontline collars and the old fashion flea comb.

No, it's not possible to just live in the carpet. They need a host to stay alive.
