FLARING BRISTLENOSE?????????????????

We just moved our bristlenose to a different tank and he's flaring these "side" bristles that aren't usually visible....they are on the side of his face under his eyes, they bristle out for a minute, then go back in. Is this 'cause he is mad at us for moving him? What I really mean, is he stressed???? :blink:

Mine does this from time to time as well, usually when I get close up to the tank to have a look at him, or when one of the other larger fish gets too close.

Personally I don't think it's anything to worry about. I believe it's a defense mechanism to make them difficult for larger fish to swallow.

Oh good, thanks for the reply guys!!! I have never seen it before and it freaked me out!!!! :D
