got the pH back to normal with a 50% water change and a small amount of bicarb of soda , the ammonia that was left has been used up , nitrites are way high as expected but nitrates are slowly rising as well , dosed the ammonia back up so i will wait and see what happens now , going to do a daily pH check as well ....
