 <--- this is how i feel right now..i've had my tank up for 7 days , i've had the pump and lil bubble guy and lights all running as well and NOW ppl start telling my about cycleing..i thought.."o.k cycleing so i'll get me a few hardy fish" THEN i read about how sick fishies can get if u do this so now i'm TRYING fishless cycles but everytime i go to read up on it all the instructions are confuseing and ppl are useing symbols like the ones i remember from grade 9 science class.

I really need some one's help here, it'd be very helpful if some one would give me some better instructions: like instead of saying "add some (chemical name)" they'd say "add some (brand name)"

If any ones knows of a website that offers information on fishless cycleing for the beginner please post it..it'd really help me alot.

btw: i have a 10 gallon tank and am planning on getting mollies. :fish: and i've been doing my research :book:

Basically what I do to fishless cycle is add enough ammonia to the water to get the ammonia level up to 5.0 ppm. Then I test the ammonia level daily and add enough ammonia to get it back up to 5.0 ppm. I also test nitrites daily... they should rise, stay high for a few days, and then drop to zero. Once ammonia and nitrite stay at zero, you're cycled.

Hope this has been of some help. Good luck
