Fishless Cycle

You should not do a 100% water change at the end. It is completely pointless to take out all that extra water. The most you really should have to do is 80%. Deff read the articles that are pinned about fishless cycling they never say to do a 100% water change.

I am now on day 9 of my fishless cycle. I tested the water again today and the ammonia was at 0, The NitrIte was at 1ppm and the Nitrate is still 5ppm. Added 44 drops ammonia yesterday and the same again today. For the last 3 days any ammonia added in the morning has disappeared within 24 hours. The NitrIte is clearly dropping although there is no change in the NitrAte. Does this mean I should continue adding Ammonia until the NitrIte reaches 0 in 24 hours aswell. For example if the NitrIte is at 0 by tommorrow morning and so is the Ammonia does that mean that the tank has cycled or should I continue a few more days to make sure that the Ammonia/ NitrIte has truly cycled. :/

I tested my levels tonight and my Ammonia was 0.5ppm, NO2 0.5ppm and NO3 5ppm. If by the morning the Ammonia and Nitrite are at 0ppm does this equal a cycled tank.
