I have a 10 gal. that I set up three weeks ago that has been cycling. I use pure ammoina, got the reading up to 5 ppm until the nitrites showed and then spiked the ammoina to 2 ppm. The problem that I am having is that the nitrites is at 2 ppm and hasn't moved. The ammonia is being processed in 12 hours to 0. Then I spike it again to 1 to 2 ppm. Am I just being impatent? The ph is at 7.6 and holding. Should the nitrite come down soon?

Yes keep adding the ammonia. The Nitrites will take a little longer to drop, just gotta have patience, as much as that sucks! Shouldn't be too much longer though. The Nitrite will usually completely disappear almost overnight. Then you should be ready for the 90% water change and the addition of new fish. Good luck to ya man.
