I called my LFS and they recomend I use danios and then trade them in when I am done. They said non of the fish I want are hardy enough to cycle with, but yes the dwarf gourami would be the best.
They have dainos 3 for a buck, so for 2 bucks I can get 6, and then trade them back in for 1 buck. Looks like that is what I am gonna end up doing....
