Fish Crazy
Well you can all probably tell from my username what tyoe of fishing I'm into. In fact I just went out flyfishing on saturday the 12th of May, I live in Salt Lake City and there are 5 or 6 blue ribbon trout streams within 30 minutes of my house.
I've also been to the San Juan River in New Mexico, caught myself a 12lb brown there, the San Juan should be on every flyfishers list of places to visit before they die. Google it if you get a chance and you'll see what I mean.
In response to demonmagus, like was said before you should just buy the cheapest all in one set you can find; then go out and try it, if you have fun you'll become addicted so fast that you'll learn very quickly what equipment you need. I will say that a lot of money can be wasted buying strange fishing tackle that is essentially useless.
