Fish vs Filter

I lost two tetras today a black and neon to my filter it sucked them into one of the holes and before anyone noticed they had died


does anyone have this problem any suggestions on how to sort it

i wish i could tell them to stay away from it

I've heard of people taking a pair of nylons and putting them over the intake when they had trouble with fry getting sucked up...

i will give that a try i never thought of that

If they aren't fry, the might have been sick and too weak to swim away....thats why mine got stuck to the filter anyway, hope no more fishies die good luck

They most likely died and then got sucked up by the filter, and not the other way around.
