Fish Tricks

hi


lately i have trained my fish so
every time i tap on the tank all the fish go to the top
and then i give them food
i was just wondering that can you do tricks with your fish!

Ive got smart budgies,even a smart pigeon but my livebearer fish are definitely not smart
I do however have a Bolivian ram which heads straight to the right hand corner of the tank when I come into the room as he knows I always start feeding from that end.
In saying that however I did discover a little black molly fry in the tank which somehow managed to stay alive for a couple of weeks and has now taken up residence on the heater in the fry tank so he/she aint that stupid

My Platy fry can just see me enter the room and they go to the top for food.

None of my Livebearers can really do tricks, but my Kissing Gourami can be petted and spins on command. What an accomplishment, I know.

I have trained my guppies to go to the top of my tank whenever i lift the lid

Whenever I lay my feeding cup (gift from the LFS lol) next to the tank with food in it, they all quickly shoot up to the top waiting for me to drop the food in.

I was told not so long ago by a work mate that there was something on tv about being able to train animals to do certain things and one guy claimed he had trained his fish to go through a maze in tank or something to get food.

I leave the fish food canister behind the tank, so when I reach behind the tank, they see my arm through the side glass and they swim to the top.

I didn't train my fish, but its odd, I sit down, open the lid of fish flakes and they all go shooting up to the top of the water, maybe its the yellow conatainer where the fish flakes are that they reconise or THE SMELL?

I dunno!​

I have just trained mine so when i tap it they go to the top, obviously not my pleco's!
