Ive just seen an article in the PFK about a tropical fish supplier in Hong Kong who is offering a unique new service in which it will tattoo fish with the words, patterns or logos of your choice using a laser .

I heard that as well.some people have very strange ideas on fishkeeping but like Loach says someone will want the service and think its a great idea what will they stop at next?

Thats really bad, I went to a different FS then normal the other day and saw my first group of dyed fish!!
I might try and get a pic next time it was so sad to see

That is disgusting! Have never heard of that before but how rediculouse and cruel!!! They are sick wierdo's only interested in profits. If only people agreed with us. I guess that they would stop if people stopped buying them. But what can we do?

That would be pretty cool to have a fish with your business logo in your place of work though. I would need ample proof it doesn't harm the fish in any way or further down the road, but I doubt that's unlikely since ya know. . . you're tattooing a fish.

this really doesn't suprise me since it's hong kong... they always come up with the weirdest stuff to be different... who would buy such a thing? they're also probably $30 a fish which would be ridiculous... let me just brand my cat with a hot iron for pete's sake!

It's Hong Kong. They come up with the weirdest stuff first usually. I'm not particularly surprised this is going on there and I don't see it going further. Like most fads, this one won't last.

That is so sad. The guy said he sold like 20 fish in a week. I bet most of those fish die. The price was £7.40 or about $12.85. Expensive.

They got hteir tails royally roasted for their trouble. I sent an e-mail to the Canadian division president and he didn't bother to reply to the original or the second that was a request for a reply. Interestingly enough, the store closed several weeks back. Obviously they were not do a whole bunch of thing right i would suggest.
