im assuming its part of the structure of the tank?

sitting there watching telly and heard a weird noise come from the tank and this part has come away on oneside

im hoping im not gonna wake up in the morning and a 4ft tank has emptied itself all over the living room ive had too put tape on it too keep it up

what's the best way too repair this clear silicone? will normally silicone do or will it have too be fish tank silicone?

TBH i can't quite se whats happened here but I'm presuming its the support beam across the tank that has come away? is there a pic with the lights on in the room may help someone if so then i would recon it shouldn't give way right away but probably would over time so yes best thing to do is get some aquatic silicon and stick it back on i know you haft to let if cure but i don't know how you would allow that maybe someone that this has happened before can help more

yeah its the H support on the top of the tank that has come away on oneside of the tank at the top

ive had too put a stone underneath my net and put it underneath too support the glass that has come away

looks like the center support has gone, you need to link both sides of the tank tightly together so the weight of the water does not pull the glass away from the edges, so you have a 4 ft tank, lots of water and weight.

yup thats the boyo thats come away, av sealed it back up but a dont trust it at all so av got like 60-70% water in the tank at the moment as a dont wanna fill it back up properly untill i feel safe about it with a frame around the top.

as when i pulled the trim off the glass at the top i noticed it was starting too bow in the centre, so a quickly drain water out of it
