It depends, usually 10-12 hours.

10:00 - 15:00 then 17:00 - 22:00

10 hours total.



I have a 2 hour blackout 15:00 - 17:00 because.
1/ No one is in the house so the shutters are closed giving a near total blackout
2/ It's nice to watch the fish at night.


After seeing Pauly post with LED moonlights though i will be going for a set of those so might skip the midday blackout then.
