I need backing for both of my fish tanks and as a teen i lack money, so i have coloured paper or a computer and printer

so come on whats best for my tanks?

would lots of plain black paper work? or would that make it too dark?

any reccomendations? or websites with good hd images for backgrounds?

go to your lock craft shop and get a pack of marine blue card and stick it to the back it looks amazing for a £1

IMO back rounds are not even needed

I dont think they are needed, i just think it wouuld look better then looking back at my wardrobe or my skateboard on the wall

go to your lock craft shop and get a pack of marine blue card and stick it to the back it looks amazing for a £1

and that is a GRAND idea, thank you very much :)

The best choice has a lot to do with the colors in tank. For example if you have a lot of plants, then black will really show of the greens. If you have dark fish, then light grey will show them off and also reflects the light in a nice way. Take some A4 sheets of varying colors and hold them behind the tank, and this way you will see which works best for your set-up

lucky for some! haha

my first one is on my tele stand at the end of my bed and there is a huge gap behind it for me to access my wardrobe

2nd had a gap then wall, which is custard yellow as we have yet to re decorate my room yet since moving in a year ago - i have to keep it tidy consistently for like 6months before they will decorate it, but have fish goods all over the place means it doesn't stay tidy haha!

i used to use bit of thin mdf cut to size of the tank then go to a diy store and get small paint tester pots and paint each side a diifferent colour so you can easily have a change when bored.

now got polished stainless steel backing, looks kind of like a dull mirror.

I dont know if you have a branch of The Range near you but they have largish bits of card in various colours for just a few quid.
