My fish are starting to move from their respective corners to all around the tank, at every height. My water is still cloudy and such, but is this a sign that my cycling is nearing an ending??

No, this isn't a sign of the tank being cycled or in the process of it being cycled.

i agree, the reason for the fish moving around so much is probley they are in shock, when some fish get shocked they don't know about anything going on, they will swim straight to an agressuir', mabey you fish's are trying to fullfill they tiny little lives by exploring the tank before they dye. :byebye: good luck!

on a less depressing note  , it could mean that they are getting braver, or more used to you being near the tank, and are coming to say hello ;)

Well, its been 12 hours since my post, and nothing bad has happened to them. The water is still getting clearer (or maybe my mind is playing tricks on me) and the fish are swimming around still. I doubt they're in shock since i've had them for almost a month now with no problems. I haven't dropped gin into my tank, so i know that nothing is wrong with the water. I just think they're beginning to swim more and explore. However if they're all dead tomorrow morning, i'll let you know.

I hear many people say that there tank becomes extremely clear when it has cycled, but sometimes peoples tanks stay fogged. It being fogged is actually good in a way. Usually because the subtrate has been mixed.
