Hi all,

My last post seems to have disappeared before I got much advice. (I don't know why but hopefully I'll read some of your thoughts this time.) I have a 3ft by 2ft by 2ft which makes 360L plus a 140L sump. I'm interested in reading some people's stock levels as they seem to manage more than I've read to be recommended (I guess through experience). I've currently got two clownfish, a blue damsel, a diadem dottyback, a firefish and a yellow clown goby, plus around ten hermits and two turbos. There is also a lot of live rock - a preference of the previous owner.

I'm thinking of adding a bangai cardinal and a canary wrass. I'm assuming that there isn't room for a tang but would consider a yellow tang instead of those two.

Any opinions anyone? Am I down the right track? Could I accommodate any more? All responses would be appreciated-I'm new and inexperienced!

Thanks,

G.

Greg, Have you tried clicking "View My Topics" as it could be there?

Hi m8,

Yeah, I did - it says I have no posts. (I've offended someone already!) To bring you up to date (as you may have gathered, I been to the lfs. My two prob damsels are being picked up by a hobbyist today with a new tank and there are the two new additions (in a more peaceful vibe) of the goby and firefish - v. appealing!

Fair enough then matey, not a clue why it got removed.
Glad to see the damsels are going.
Its such a shame, as they are beautiful fish I myself personally love the Fiji Damsels.
But its just there agression that puts everyone off them.
If only they stayed peaceful.
:(

True, YF,

The Domino had some really interesting aspects - lots of personality. He wasn't all bad by any means. I just felt that the kind of community I wanted to build wouldn't work with the two of them stirring.

Im in the same boat, I want a peaceful community with no possibilitys it wont be peaceful.
So it limits my stocking alot.

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I'm happy to leave the tang to a bigger tank. I'm decided on the wrass - cardinal option. I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers,

G.

Update! The canary wrass is to be recommended! A similar shade of colour to a yellow tang it zooms up and down like a mad thing. Have you seen those little slinky toys that look like caterpillars (not slinkies). They are pulled by an "invisible" string and can be worked through the fingers etc.! They are just like that and they sleep in the substrate, so pop out when the lights come on! Hilarious! The cardinal is cool too. My tank looks so cool now. I'll upload some pics soon.

Cheers again,

G.

Hi guys,

I now feel ashamed. I felt ICT literate until I tried to paste a photo in here! Any ideas?

G.

I host my photos in photobucket.com. It's free and universal. Plus it's a good place to save pictures in case of a computer crash.

directions are in my signature

Thanks! Here goes then.
