neons are very sensitive to new tanks, it hadn't occured to me that your tank is new lol but its your choice.
a mix of red and black phantom tetras is what i wanted a few weeks ago... just a suggestion.

corys are lovely and get along with everything. they come in all sorts of variations! i have 4 c. sterbai (with 2 c. schwartzi) which look pretty cute. they're impressive when they're older and bigger but they can be quite expensive for a fish that needs to be in a group of 6(ish). it just depends what is available

Just to put a spanner in the works....I cycled a 70l tank with 6 neon tetras (before I get ppl jumping down my throat-I know Im bad!!) and they have all been fine, 6 months later and still going strong. So be wary, but you could always just wait a few weeks then add them. Can I also just add that if the tank is new, you shouldnt really put all then fish in together anyway cuz you will overload the filter and may get ammonia/nitrate surges that will wipe the livestock out in one go. Try adding a few mollies first, then add the rest.

even so if the tank is cycled? I thought once a tank was cycled it's ready to handle the entire fishload?

To be on the safe side I wasnt going to add the whole lot at once anyway, just incase I did mess something up.

platys and guppys can be equaly interesting active, and colourful begining fish.
theyre also very easy to breed (just wait).
id recomend them for begining as seing little fry for the first time makes you feel like an amazing fishkeeper =P

hey all

Went out yesterday to an amazing fish shop and came back with 6 sterbai cories and 10 swordtail tetras

I love the Cories!!

I'd like some colour in the tank now, would Blue Steel Killifish be ok in my tank? I was thinking maybe 6 or 7 of them
