This is my first post so, hello! I bought a black ghost knife fish recently that the guy in the shop told me would be fine in a 60l biorb with guppies, I wont take any advice from fish shop guys again. We all love the big guy so when we found half a guppy in the tank one morning I borrowed a smaller tank to put the guppies in and my dad bought a 240l tank for the ghost, he has since decided he doesn't want the ghost any more. I now have a 260l tank I got when he was still planning on taking the ghost and I have already stocked it with some fish but now ghosty needs a new home again, its a bit confusing, sorry. So in the 260l there is 2 danios, 5 black phantom tetras, 5 guppys, 2 platys and 2 apple snails. My plan is to move the guppies and the apple snails into the biorb and get more phantoms and danios in the 260l (as well as the platys). I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of keeping black ghosts with smaller fish and how it turned out and just if anyone could give me an opinion on this set up as I am getting conflicting information from different websites. I could really pass the tetras and danios onto my dad if need be but I would rather keep them. I have a moon light in the 260l and I am thinking if I feed ghosty when the moonlight comes on then he may leave the rest of the inhabitants alone for the rest of the night, what do yoiu think?
