Over the course of the last week I have lost 5 Neon Tetras and a Platy. There have been no trace of the Tetras but I have just spotted the carcass of the Platy. I know one or more of my fish stock will be to blame for consuming them but I could do with some help identifying which fish it might be???
Some of my fish stock is simply too small so I can safely rule them out. However, I have a Festivium and an Electric Blue Acara that I think could be the culprit. If I can identify the guilty fish I will look to return to the fish store.

If a fish dies, sometimes the body doesn’t last long. Fish often die at night (most, I read somewhere) and they can be gone by morning. And I wouldn’t put it past a Festivum to have a treat of a recently dead neon. So I wouldn’t blame anyone yet.

How old were the victims?

How long have you had the festivum and EBA?

Tank is 180L, water parameters are all good. 0ppm Ammonia, 0 Nitrates etc and Nitrates kept in check with regular water changes.

My guess is that they are dying, and being consumed by snails before you can discover them.
