Here it is, a few weeks after i got the shop and updated pics somewhere below them, thats if i get them in the right order,

still loads more to do but you'll have to excuse the unfinished parts of the shop, its all safe to enter mind you LOL, just got to open it b/c we are 6 weeks behind as it is.

very nice layout mate and very ver tidy make people think they are at home and will be more likly to buy from you a good mate of mine owns a lfs and he has spend months on tiding his new premises up

how many tanks you running?

well done Daz

hope everything goes better than planned if i was still in army i would have popped in to see it open

cheers dane

Tidy? hahahahaha not really, fresh...yep defo fresh and bright, ambient temp of 26 at all times during the day generated from the tanks as no heating in the shop at all, breeding room temp stands at 28, the coldest night temp so far outside was 2 degrees and the shop still maintained a 26 degree temp, only once did it drop b/c one dividing door was left a jar The small tanks ARE for the bettas, they all have 7w heaters if needed later on and are 10L each being powered by a SERIES 9 together with the rest of the shop and the breeding room. A total of 156 tanks in the shop if you include the outgrows and breeding room ranging from the 10L upto 300L and a few 6ft ones, one will be a display for some special pleco.

I think he is running sponges and divided tanks to prevent disease from spreading, very smart.

Drew

correct Drew, nothing worse than planning a day out to a LFS for fish and to find that they are in quarantine or whatever and you cant purchase them, and i wasnt gunna risk a complete wipeout in the shop. Fish are the soul of the business so their welfare MUST come before anything else as they would if they were at home in my personal tanks.

^^ Which is why I wish I lived in the UK where there are actually some responsible fish shop owners. I couldnt agree more about how your filtering it, cheap simple and if you get disease you wont wipe out your whole stock. And you dont have the need for UV sterilizers either. I think your shop is going to flourish daz,

Drew

there are some good ones all over the world but it depends on what they put first, fish or pocket, ofcourse pocket is a priority of mine but healthy happy fish would ofcourse create this. depends on how LFS owners think at the end of the day. and there is a MASSIVE difference in "chain" and smaller shops but thats a different thread that never comes to anything when its started so i wont go on about that LOL
