Hi there
Can anyone help me please, I need to stick the suction cups on my filter to the side of the tank.Im looking for something that I can use while the tank is still full and the fish are left in it if possible ..... any ideas welcome.

Many thanks

Sarah

marine keepers use superglue so id say that would be fish safe and can get used in water too

Super glue has worked well in the past for me! It does degrade in water though and you would need to do it in the air so the glue can't be submerged whilst drying.

Thanks for all your replies  but I wanted to do this with the tank full not empty ... I'm thinking that's not possible with super glue ??

ummmmmm, get new suction caps?

Place a rock or something under the filter to stop it slipping?

Try soaking the suction cups in vinegar sometimes gets the crud off them and lets them stick again. Either that or buy new suction pads :good:

Adheseal can be used under water and comes in black and other colours... down side £18 a tube... good stuff though

Google Aquastik. It is an underwater epoxy putty specifically for use in both fresh and salt water tanks and it will set dry, damp or underwater.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions now hopefully I can get my filter sorted soon :good:
