Hi All,

Well this coming weekend I get to pick up 15 x 60L tanks to start my breeding project. Found them 2nd hand and quite cheap.

This past weekend I cleared the corner of my garage where I will be putting up the insulating partioning.

So, do I put in a sump, and filter all the tanks together?
Or do I use an individual filter in each one? Am thinking of spongefilters driven by one or two air pumps.
And also if I sump the system, then I can just put a hearter in the sump, and that will take care of all the tanks? Or do I need to individually heat each tank?
What worries me then is that I will need a huge socket with loads of plugs coming off it. Not sure how that is re a fire hazzard?

I have never done this before so any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

For an effective sump setup you will need to drill the tanks which often isn't ideal, therefore a large koi pump or blower is generally the best way to go,

However as you say Heating in a sump would be much easier, otherwise you would possibly be better off heating the room and making sure it is well insulated.

I always see people using a large airpump and just running air driven filter's, but you would need seperate heaters but would want to heat the room as the main heat.
