and do you know exactly why sharks close their eyes?
because they need their eyelids to protect them from mechanic injury while attacking - great white for example needs to protect his eyes from the seal that he charges from below...

Nope. I did this "shark diploma" thing at a sealife centre when I was about 11 where you learnt all about sharks for an hour and then did a quiz on them. I guess I've never forgotten. I love the way their eggs are called "mermaids purses" too.

Sharks close their eyes because its something to do with hunting. Can't remember what though

EDIT: it is kind of obvious when you think about it ... the eyes are the most sensable organs in their head - teeth are replacable...

Well they do grow extra sets, one behind the other. We used to call my sister the Shark because her adult teeth grew behind her baby teeth before the baby ones had fallen out. She looked like she had spare teeth like a shark.

actually... not quite like it ... and adult great whit shark can have up to 5000 teeth...
