Hello Matt. Adding chemicals other than water treatment to the tank is a bad idea. You don't know for certain if you have a fish problem or not. Just make sure your water chemistry is a good as it should be. Large and regular water changes will always keep your fish tank healthy. Testing the water is fine, but if you're in the habit of changing most of the water every few days, there's no point in testing. You know the chemistry is always right for the fish.

Hello mate. Esha Ndx works for one specific type of worm, I can't remember which. Don't use it yet. Esha Ndx is the one you have to be careful not to overdose and the instructions are very specific (I think).

This could end being something like constipation or a need to switch fish food for a few days (which doesn't mean you've done anything wrong with the feeding by the way). Hopefully Colin and others will spot this and give some feedback. What have you been feeding for the last 7 days (again, this doesn't mean you've done anything wrong). Also, obviously, keep an eye out for how the other fish are doing and if you see this in any of the others.

Hi Alex

I feed a range of different food

I have got bottom feeder bug bites, the blue bug bites, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms and some fish flakes

Ok I will keep an eye out when I was sitting last night I was thinking that I haven’t really seen any of the fish pooping for a wile, I used to see them doing it a lot

It's nearly normal poop. Normal poop wouldn't have gaps in it, but it's not stringy white poop, so that's good.

The fish is a molly and probably from an Asian fish farm so it probably has intestinal worms. The most common worms in fish from any fish farm are thread worms (Camallanus and Capillaria).

Fish deworming medications like Levamisole and Praziquantel are safe to use and even though I don't like medications, I have no issues with deworming medications because these can be used on people, dogs, cats and fish. They only kill worms and flukes and don't have long term side effects on the animal being treated.

In my opinion, all new fish should be treated for worms while they are in quarantine. Deworming medications are the only medication I recommend as a prophylactic treatment.

Section 3 of the following link has information about treating fish with intestinal worms.
