Hello everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well. I was just doing a little reading, and noticed that Pufferpack names his fish (some interesting names there Puffer ). I thought I was the only one crazy enough to name their fish! Just wondering if anyone else out there names their fish, the interesting names given to the fish, and the reasoning behind the names? Almost all my fish are named, all the cichlids have names (except one who's still waiting for a name), however my community fish lack names. Well, here goes..
The Africans:
Mita - named after suffering from Hexamita, maybe this is bad charma though..
Shrimp - the runt of the females, later discovered that she loved brine shrimp, more than most
Jamal - the pimp daddy, named after a friend, for his large luscious lips
The other lady has yet to be named
The Rams:
Mr. T - named for always flaring his mohawk like dorsal fin
Lamont - named after Rudy's goldfish that died and they had a fish funeral, on the "Cosby Show"
The Nicaraguenses:
Hoombubbala - the big boy, name made up by some friends and I, presumably in a drunken stupor
Mariscos - Spanish for "seafood" the old lady, brought her home as an adult to mate with Hoom, turned out she was was very old and just lays about, might as well be seafood..kidding of course
Mogo - named after what the natives call the species. Also heard they call them Moga. I liked Mogo better
Lola - after the movie, when new to the family, she was always chased by Mogo, so we would always say "Run Lola, run!"
Would like to hear everyone elses names, and the reasons (if any) behind the names. Anyone have any ideas for my nameless African, she's really nasty and mean, let me know. Take care.
