My first tank, I bought the fish, took them home and *then* set the tank up. By the next morning all but 3 fish had died. I had to learn the hard way, but that experience makes me a better fishkeeper now than I ever could have thought I would be.
I now have 8 tanks up and running with happy healthy fish in all of them. Once I got the bug I went crazy with it. And I still want at least one more tank. A 125g! Some of my babies are going to get very big and they will need a big home to live in.
Don't be so hard on yourself. It was an innocent mistake. Now you'll learn and you'll get it right and then you can really enjoy watching your new babies swimming around in their new home.
