So i just walked into my dorm, turned on the lights, and noticed thaat all or most of my fish were faded...
is this normal when the lights are out?
my neons were real faded and a few male guppies were chillin on the bottom.
are they just sleeping or are they stressed.

Tank parameters
ammonia = 0
nitrites = 0
Nitrates = 40

its the same setup as in my signature and its been running since Feb. (I realize its a bit overstocked but i have two foam pieces in my filter with mature media and everything is fine with the water. male and female guppies are seperated)

When the lights go out in the fishtank a lot of color in fishes bodys fade, it should return fairly quickly

imo you need to do a small waterchange to lower you nitrates because it is a bit high
