Fish Killed

yeah i have no problem doing the changes, I have changed over 50% of the tank today over 2 changes (i need a bigger bucket) how large should my changes be?

until your results are zero - so a 100% change would be ideal really. if not, as much as possible really, but more than 50%. Bear in mind you dont want to stress the fish out too much, so one big water change at the beginning of the wtaer treatment stage would be a good idea to get off to a positive start. Then you're going to have to test the water every day while your tank is fish-in cycling.
Is your filter suitable for the capacity of your tank?

I have 2 15 gallon filters but I had to take one off when that fish got the fungus. so its running with only 1 15 gallon. But i hope to have the other one back on it asap.

is it possible to do large changes everyday until I get that other filter back on it?

My biggest problem is getting the water I need to change with up to temp, do i have to do all cold water and let it heat up on its own? or can i use a mix of hot and cold water?

you can use hot and cold. some people do boiled with cold, others lukewarm water straight from tap. as far as the filters go it is far from ideal, and your fish are showing the results im afraid. theres no way the one filter will be able to handle the tank, so you definitely need to be testing the water daily and doing changes appropriate to the readings.

Ahh thank you again fluffy you are a life saver. Okay tomorrow 1st thing I will get a nitrite testing kit and a big bottle of water conditioner. thanks again I like the fish and I spent alot on a light and now a bunch of food + chemical supplies and would hate to just give them away. So i will try my best to get them in a healthy tank.

good on ya, thats what i like to hear :good: (make sure you get a liquid testing kit, the paper strips arent accurate. if you could get a kit which tests ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, that would be perfect ;) )

Okay i will try find that one. I have like 3 ph testing kits so i hope i can find a package that does not include that lol.
