Hi all!

Getting sand tomorrow and I am putting it in the tank on Friday. I was wondering, after I have put the sand in the tank I would need to wait for it to settle - so could I put the fish in a storage tub with the heater and filter in too? It would just be overnight while I wait for the sand to settle down.

I left the fish in the tank when i switched over to sand, takes abit longer though.
Storage box for the fish should be fine, sometimes do this myself to make rescapes a little easier.

do it im sure the fish wouldn't mind its the same amount of water? they just cant see out ;p

This would be fine thought not really necessary. I left my fish in as I put sand in... just make sure you're gentle about it and not throwing sand on them obv lol.

If you put them in a storage box put a black towel or something over top so it's not so stressful.

make sure you wash the sand till the water is clear and the sand sinks, fill it up slow and there will not be much to settle...
