Fish Identity

Hi Guys,

Purchased some Cichlids at the weekend but in my haste to get back home (family emergency) I forgot to write down the names of the fish I brought.

I brought 6 in total (two of each type) and know that two of them are "Yellow Labs" but the other two types are a mystery - Can you help? Pics in link below:

The first pic looks like some sort of Labidochromis as well, perhaps Hongi, but I can't really tell from the pic. A better shot will help.

The second pic is Metriclima Estherae, formerly known as Pseudotropheus Zebra.

Yes Hongi does actually sound familiar now and when i do a search on yahoo for images its near identical. Thank you SO much :cool:

Yes, it's a "red zebra", but as I mentioned, they have changed the name. I remember now, it's actually been reclassified as Maylandia estherae, not pseudotropheus or metriclima.
