I am looking for a tank over 100 gallons to move my Tinfoil Barbs to. Initially I was going to rehome them but I can't bear to so now I have to move a couch ! LOL

What should I put with them ? I have admired the Jack Dempsey. Anyone have one and can give me some insight ? I like fish with personality.

Also thinking of some sort of bottom dweller. Maybe an Oddball. Thing is my Tinfoils are ravenous eaters, so can't be anything shy when it comes to feeding.

Any suggestions would be of help ! Thank you :)

i personally love jd's. they're beautiful and loaded with personality. i have 3 right now in 2 different tanks and they all do the happy dance when i walk up to the tank.

i think a jd would work quite well for what you're looking for :good:

Its amazing how large shoaling fish are so ravenous when it comes to feeding time. When I kept bala's the food would normally not have a chance to hit the bottom of the tank before it would be gobbled up. And now, my sd's are like little pirannha's... picking up the algae wafers or whole krill and ripping them apart using teamwork... its quite impressive to see.

I am with tobigara... I love JD's. My adult male is 8" and quite "full" if you get my drift... He eats what he wants, when he wants, and where he wants. When he moves in the tank, everybody gets outta his way. There are plenty of other cichlids that can go in the 100G+ tank with your tin foils as this is a good size... but again, I am a JD guy, though since I picked up my green sevs for the new tank, I have grown to love them as well... very boistorous being always at the glass with their fins flaired and colors popping. All depends on what species you feel you love the most

Ox :good:
