my baby parhanas love to kill things......but they usually dont eat all of the fish. sometimes their tank is littered with fish heads. anyone have a secret to keeping the bottom of the tank clean? they are baby red bellies about 2 inches long
thanks!

I'm guessing you dont want to stick your hands in there :p ... EIther a long handled net which you can scoop the "heads" up or use your gravel vac...or the good ol hand method

Or you could always just not feed them fish... Things like brine shrimp are much healthier and won't be carrying diseases.

It is a good idea to watch what type of feeder fish you use. As sylvia said they are usually poorly treated in store and can carry disease which will wreak havoc in your tank. But...having a fish like piranah, i would like to feed live foods and if you could locate a reliable source of feeders..or breed your own then i dont think you'd have problems.

get a pleco i have 3 reds and they constintly leave heads every where their about 1 and ahalf inches and the pleco is bout 3 inch's but i should have gotin a biger 1 the reds only bother him/her when i dont feed themlots of feeders u should probly get a 5-6 inch one(off topic ) i also have 2 cons in the same tank. you should also feed them rosey reds so that they dont have 2 rip the fish all up

:fish:

I have 2 red clawed crabs that lurk int he rocks on the bottom of the tank. Any left over debris is gone over night. If you have alot of left over you may be feeding them too much. My reds don't usually leave much, atleast not anything recognisable(sp). :D

If you decide to use crabs they need salt in the tank.
