ok i just want to ask a couple of questions about if i should pair up some of my fish again.

ok i have got one clown loach, its getting pretty big, around 3 inches big atm. should it have a mate? i did have another one but that died?

ive also got a black mollie, should i get a couple more? is it best to have more female than male? did have two but another fish ate one :/

in my other tank all i have got is a balloon kissing gourami and a red tailed shark. should i put anything else in ther or is it fine as it is? the shark was very unfriendly so had to put it in a tank on its own.

ive got a plec in my bigger tank, is it best to just have one yeah?

sorry for the big amount of questions :p

What are the dimensions of your tanks? And how many gallons?

This is my understanding... The shark, gourami, and plec are fine being solo. Loaches should be in groups of 6+ ideally; clown loaches get big though. Over the years, they could get up to 12", but that takes awhile. I have seen clown loaches get up to 6" in only a few months though. Mollies should be in groups also; all females or just one male with females, but expect babies. Expect babies either way; the females might be pregnant from the store.

i might get another clown loach then but he seems alright on his own.

will get a couple more mollies, im not sure what sex the one is ive got as i brought a male and a female before but one died but dont know which one. is it easy to tell which is which?
