I'm not sure if this is an emergancy or not. I think so because tonight I came home and found a bunch of tiny little opaque-white egg looking things attached to the filter water intake. If these are eggs what should I do and who would you think had them? I have two angels, I had three cloan loaches but one died and I have three bala sharks. All my other fish are single unless cross breeding can happen?!? I have read that bala sharks have to be at least 6 inches to breed and it has never really happened in captivity. I have no idea about the angel fish nor the cloan loaches. If these are babies my dream from last week was a preminition!! (weird post in non fish topics I posted) :) Any help on what to do would be great.

Hello again... After watching my tank for the past hour or so I found that my one angel fish is laying the eggs. One thing though, the other angel fish is eating them after she lays them. Right now the one that is eating all the eggs looks like it is going to pop! How do I stop this? I don't want the one eating them to die from overeating. I dont have an extra tank or anything that I know of to put the fish in. I am pretty sure now that both my angels are female and that is why one is eating the eggs. This has been going on probably all day. What should I do? :/

grab a clean container and scoop the eggs up, use your water from the fish tank though, and put an air filter in the container for now, change 50% of water each day of the water in the tank it will work as a filter for now but i would go out and buy another fish tank, and put the eggs in there keep changing the water though, try keeping the water temp at what it is, put a blanket over top at night to keep the warmth in til you get another tank with filter and heater, good luck and i hope this helps :D

I recently had two angels lay eggs. Due to a heat wave the temp of the water rose and this triggered the laying.
I was told by my local retailer that the first couple of times that Angel fish lay eggs they are likely to eat them but after a few tries they should get it right.

Hello,
I just wanted to say that yesterday I lost my male angel who ate all the female eggs. I tried saving him with antibotics but I think it was bound to be. After he ate all those eggs it seemed like he couldn't digest them and a possible infection started. He got very bloated and lathargic. I am not sure but if I ever have another angel and see him eating the eggs I will remove him or take the eggs out. He was perfectly healthy before the female spawned :( Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I am very sad I lost him, they were the perfect pair. Also I have two days left of the antibotic treament should I finish it just in case it wasn't from him eating the eggs? I would hate to loose anybody else :(
