Might they have been sleeping? :D

They could also be stressed, or ill... We really do need a little bit more information.

How long have you had them? Water stats?

Ben.

ive had them 3 years in the same tank.

Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-19 ppm
ph-6.7

there is a piece of broccoli in the tank for the pleco

And how much light are the fish normally used to getting a day?

Any changes in your routine which might have either disrupted their normal pattern of rest or stressed them out?

Ben.

in the wild, and in other peoples tanks indeed, they are used to day and night, so the fact that they're kept in constant light may be stressing and confusing them.

thats a good point... i will purchase a light timer tommorow..

Thanks

mac

My fish look pale when the lights first go on,they soon colour up :)

That looks like a heavily pregnant guppy in your pic :good:

24h per day  thats insane. im surpised you dont have a tank full of algae. fish generally go pale when its dark.

i have purchased the light timer and guess what! the pregnent fish in the tank had 120 babies. i put them in my fry tank. and scince i left the ligt off some problems with my pleco hve also cleared up

How would you like it if you had to stay awake 24 hours a day because someone kept some bright lights shining in your face all the time? :shout:

Hope everything goes alright with the Guppy fry.

Ben.
