Fish Comps

Could we have mini comps for each species ones every few months or somthing. So take a picture and mods rate it, good idea ornot?

new guy syndrome strikes again!

hate to break it to you, but fish-related "OTM" competitions are another thing that "used to be but is no longer". according to what i've heard, the competitions just got to be too competitive. people kept complaining about not winning and cheating became a real issue. so the mod team decided that it just wasn't worth all the intensive labor to keep things going. and so far, there hasn't been any coordinated push to bring the competitions back.

but you couldn't have known any of that i just known what i know due to a lot of digging around in the archives.

You really wouldnt believe the lengths some people went to to make their pictures win, photo's stolen from professional sites, photoshopped tanks and people making multiple accounts to vote for themselves over and over again.

As said the policing got a bit tedious and in the end we just shut the competitions down completely.
