Hello, I have only just become a member to this forum so not sure how everything works yet. We all buy fish from a pet store but we don't know if they will get on with the other fish in your tank. Which is the mistake I have made twice and have had to take numerous trips back to the pet store. Currently I have 2 Sword- tails, one of them being a male and the other female. I have 1 female Platy fish, a male Crown-tail Siamese fighting fish and 1 Bristle-nose. They seem to get on fine but don't know what other fish are compatible with them. I am only looking at getting 1 more fish anyway. Any suggestions would be good and I look forward to people's posts about theirs too :)

Hello, welcome to the forum

how big is the tank?...seem like you have a community fish tank set up..

you could probably add any families of tetras, mollys, loaches,

and also if theres any fishes you have in your mind, we can help you decide whether its workable or not ^^

and its great to YELP the local pet store to choose where to buy fishes from too ;)

Hello, thank- you, took me a while to figure out how to become a member lol. It is a 64 liter one. I was thinking about adding 1 group of 6 neon tetra's and/ or 1 other normal sized fish. I did add a Molly yesterday but it got singled out and so I had to take it back to the pet store for it's own safety which was a shame.

sometimes community fiesh will nip each other, just purely out of fun, but does not mean it will kill each other ..probably 4 to 6 neon tetras will be good ;)...you should take a picture and post!!

Hi! also on your current stocking, for livebearers you should really have 2-3 females to every male. So if it were me I would add maybe 1 or 2 more female swordtails :)

And :hi: to the forum! :)

Awww thanks for the welcome guys :) Yes I will take a picture on my phone in the morning and post it but Im not sure how to upload the pictures. Does anyone know how to?

There is a section on how to upload pictures:

Welcome to the forum, I'm also a new member and in the process of creating a community tank ...

Thank- you Trippytrance :) What fish are you thinking of starting with? My Platy and Swordtails are my favourite fish because they are great in my community tank :)

Guys, my messages are in the proper format aren't they? Just got an announcement from the admin people saying 'if your messages aren't in the proper format in a timely manner, they will be deleted'. Anyone-else get this message or just me?

Tahnk-you. Hayy guys I bought a Mickey mouse Platy yesterday! It's really pretty and very very small. :)
