So i am constructing a 100 gallon tank and therefore can fit c.50 fish :

I planed to fit these:
x6 Zebra Danio
x6 Cherry Barb
x5 Guppy
x5 Lace Gourami
x5 Platy
x3 Sworrdtail
x4 Peppered Corydoras
x2 Siamese Flying Fox

A total of 36

I would like to add a colorfull fish any suggestions?
(obliviosly that are compatible with the above fish and RELITAVELY EASY to Keep)

Thanks in Advance :alien:

Cardinal tetra, harlequin rasboras or as stated above rummy nose tetra, make sure you get a good male/female ratio on the gouramis or it may cause problems.
Also the platy, sword tail and guppy will reproduce like mad unless you stick to one sex, so leave some room for babies. Platies and sword tails will cross breed.

Red Rainbows (look like bright Red Tinfoil as they mature) and Boesmani Rainbow fish. They will get a long just fine with the fish you mention. They are very peaceful fish.

'Don't thos fish (rainbows) need different water conditions?
and that also applies for tetras , as these that you metioned are SOFT water , my aquarium would be more on the hard side! ,

Angel fish are territorial and quite delicate i think ?

Harlequins aren't to colorfull

BUT THANKS ANYWAY ;) :D

Never heard of a lace gourami. The following are the most commonly available groups of gouramis

Three spot Gouramis *trichogaster (Gold, Blue, Cosby or opaline)
dwarf *colisa
dwarf *chuna/sota
Giant *colisa ?
Snake skin *?
Moonlight *?
Ospherensus *ospherensus gurami

anyways they all like neutral or slightly soft water. All of em. Without exception. But the three spots are immensely adaptable. The moonlight similarly is a fairly tough fish. The others require fairly cautious care. The three spots grow to six inches, the dwarf to three the "giant" to six (its a giant dwarf), chunas (honeys, bloods) to about four despite common lore, moonlight and snakeskin to seven or eihght and ospherensus can reach dang near two feet in a big tank.

How high is your pH and hardness? Your guppies and swordtails are going to produce an absolute grotesque cloud of fry in that big tank. They'll knock a few off, so will the danios, but you should put something in there LIKE a couple of angels that are dedicated piscivores and enjoy actively stalking fish that fit in their mouths.

Angelfish are actualy suprisingly tough :flex: an i would expect they will be fine very pretty an elegant fish :*) :* an they mite be able to keep your guppy an swordtail numbers down  trust me you are gona need somethin to eat their fry so i think angel fish will be perfect :kana:

There are rainbowfish species from hard and soft water, but they are generally very tolerant fish.

If you don't think Harlequins are colorful, you haven't really seen harlequins.

Angels aren't particularly delicate and while territorial wouldn't be likely to harass the above listed fish much. But I wouldn't suggest them with the danios, who might fin nip.

Ok, not that all those misconceptions are addressed, I'll probably annoy you even more by saying that 8 species is plenty and that you're pretty well stocked with your choices. Maybe add a few more corys and danios. The goal isn't to stuff a tank with as many different fish and species as possible. With too many different species, your tank will look cluttered and chaotic and the fish will be miserable. It will not look as good as if you keep fewer species. You'll just end up disappointed.

Good luck with your choices.

Not these Rainbows mentioned above. My own gH is 17, my kH 11 and my pH 7.4
They do extremely well and have done for years and live with a similar community to the one you are proposing.

Ok thanks , i'll either keep to the current setup and a 3-4 Rainbows , or else take of the zebra danio's and add 3 Angels
