Since my lfs finally agreed to take 6 of my fish off my hands the rest of the ones in the tank seem way happier/coloring up more then I’ve ever seen them do. I was sad at first but it was definitely of the best. They are still trying to figure out the pecking order , which is to be expected. But here’s a little photo dump.
Got most of these fish around 1.5”-2” so I feel like a proud dad seeing how far they have come. Even with some of my inexperienced mistakes.

My tank of a pleco still needs a little more time to recover from the old tank boss “Lucifer” (my wife named him)

Beautiful fish. How many fish in your tank now?

Thank you! I’m down to 14 including the pleco , I was going for the overstocking to help with aggression but they all just grew to fast and I didn’t feel right having them all in there.
They are so beautiful, what African cichlids do you have? Do you have an all male group?

How many East African lakes are represented in the 14 fish? Or are they all Mbuna, Malawi?

There’s the yellow tail , white tail , x2 ob zebras , x2 cobalt blues , chewere , albino red top , Swedish red top Hongi , electric blue johanni (my favorite ) , pearl of likoma , yellow lab , then the od one out the venustus.
I only have that venustus cichlid in there which isnt an Mbuna , I only kept him cause he’s held his own against all the other mbuna and from all my friends I’ve heard they are pretty mean. So he fits right in. I bought the couple pairs with a female , the chewere also came as a female (ordered a male) , the albino was a pair but the male was closing in on 5” and was very mean. So I just have the sweet female now.
