Hey,
Most of my fish are rather bloated, Don't know if this is dropsy or if i'm spoiling them a bit to much with food, My pleco's are breathing rather heavily however i can't remember if they have always done that?
Is the a disease?
Is it contageous?
How did i cause this?
What do i do to stop it?
My mum won't let me go to my LFS untill febuary so i can't test my waer :/

Is the a disease? - Yes

Is it contageous? - No

How did i cause this? - Over feeding esp with live foods

What do i do to stop it? - Place your fish in a separate teank, use air pump, starve your fish for 3 days and feed them only with small amount of pellet. Put lights and do 30 % water change everyday. Set your heater to 86 -89 degrees. Add rock salt 0.11Kg per 10 gals. Feed with Veggies like green peas.

I don't feed live food. Only mussels and bloodworm which are frozen? Can they die from this?
I haven't got anoyther tank to put them in

25% water change ASAP
When you next go to a fish store buy test kits... you need them.

It's ok all swelling gone down, will do 25% later and do it every other day,
Just i feed the greedy little fellow's alot last night  Just felt they deserved a treat  lmao!
I fed them mussel, Bloodworm, Catfish pellets and flakes all in one night.
They probably just didnt feel too good
Also i think pleco's may just breathe rather fast anyway, Thanks for the help guys
