fish and music do they mix

Hi i am a great fan of rap music i recently purchased myself a huge stereo and i has 2 subwoofers in it. I put it in the compartment under my aquarium. I play all my gangster beats and stuff will this affect my fish or anything. I have been watching them and they dont seem to mind it. Is this bad for them. Peace

Music usually sends sound waves through the water and can sometimes stress out the fish but if your fish are ok with it then it's ok

those are pretty big heavy shocks you're gonna give the fish. I would be worried about stress.

i would have to say NO its not good,im gonna say how would you feel if you were in a glass tank and i was tapping on it? i think it would hurt your ears so i could imagine fish with 2 subs under them with 50 Cents gun shots bucking under yo tank.

fishkidd, you might also want to remember the reverse aspect, that putting sound equipment, whether it be speakers or electronics or both, below a fish tank carries the possibility of water damage to the equipment.
