Had a quick go but still need LOTS of practice lol

Unfortunately my computer with photoshop is broken so i couldn't edit them

I found using the flash makes the tank look really flat and frankly pants which was annoying

Anyway heres the pics:

cool, love the headstander,

The cichlids are Kribensis, and look to be the common Pelvicachromis pulcher

I hope they're not, pair cost me £20! lol

Yeh the headstander is awesome, he just gets on with everything, never really been aggressive to any other fish :)

I have just had my first attempt at taking photos of my clown loachs and found that using remote flashes aswell as the built in flash worked very well. Also if you have one using a larger lens worked really well for me. I use a 300mm macro lens with a nikon SB900 flashgun. I would upload the photos to show you how i got on but im on the wrong laptop so i can't scale them down :(

One problem i did have was the pesky angel coming into shot and messing up about 80 shots lol

Lmao crazy angel fish

Cheers for the advice, been looking at getting a flash gun or 2 for a while now (and a macro lens actually, i only have the macro setting on the camera)

hey,the chiclids you have are indeed pelvicachromis taeniatus, look to be nigerian red strain, they are less hardy than the common pulcher, but are also a little more timid.thr fry fetch a better price though if the buyer is looking for this strain.
iv kept and bred these before, good luck.

Yep the green on that male is brilliant! My common Krib male gets a little green around the gills when showing off to his girl but that colouring is something else!
