So I started my 30gallon FOWLR tank and I'm currently adjusting the salinity of the water right now it's at 1.021 and I'm aiming for 1.025 right? I'm going to be getting live rock probably tomorrow, should I be putting it straight on the glass or on top of the sand? Also the top cover piece on one of my Maxi-jets doesn't seem to want to stay in place (see pic its in back right corner), could/should I silicone it in place?

Stocking in order will be:
1-2 Ocellaris Clowns (preferably a pair)
1 Bangaii Cardinal
1 Fridmani Pseudochromis
1 Goby of some sort (maybe yellow watchman)
1 Flame Angel

How does that sound?
Also not 100% sure on the CUC, thinking 3 Peppermint shrimp, some hermits, some snails...suggestions?
Just gonna add one pic for now:

Just to let you know, I will be quarantining. Also do you think the two maxi-jet 900's will suffice? I think I'm gonna add one more powerhead, probably Koralia nano. Will be ordering an AquaC Remora soon, will the Maxi-jet 1200 be too much in this tank? Is it worth getting the pre-skimmer? Thanks for looking! :D

i would drop the flame angel and just go with

2 clowns
1 bangaii cardinal (some say theyre boring but personally i like them :good:
1 orchid dottyback (cool fish!)
and a goby.

put the rock in then the sand, and i would get the SG to 1.024. buy a koralia 1 and use along side the maxi jet.

i would buy a skimmer or you will find nitrates and phosphates build up and cause nuisance algae.

im interested as to what lights over that? just curious

A Glo T5 HO 2x39w with one powerglow bulb and one marine glow bulb.

Just out of curiousity why drop the angel? It would be going in a while down the line, and I kinda like them :hey:

they can be very aggressive, and did you use RO? because they are very sensitive to copper which will be more than likely present in your water, anything above.15 will cause problems

the lights give the tank a nice colour
